We love payroll! Payroll is one of the most challenging areas for many business owners. Let us look after it for you and make it easy, accurate and compliant.

In recent years, the Fair Work Ombudsman (FWO) has been active in encouraging employers to be fully compliant with workplace laws, particularly the Fair Work Act 2009. We are familiar with the many areas of concern to the FWO and can advise you accordingly.

We work with Employment Hero, an excellent solution for HR and payroll management that integrates with Xero. Employment hero provides employer guides, compliant templates, checklists and scalable employee management solutions.

Xero payroll is great for many small business with simple payroll, but businesses with more complex or large payroll need to use a more sophisticated add-on solution such as our partners Employment Hero.

We will set up the full details required for each employee, and process all pay items from ordinary earnings and bonus payments to rostered days off and termination payments. We also review superannuation and PAYG prior to preparing activity statements.

For employers who have the Premium 5 or above subscription to Xero, you’ll find it comes equipped with Automatic Superannuation, which acts as a clearing house for all your employees’ super funds. This makes reviewing and processing superannuation payments very quick and efficient, without the need to leave the software and enter data into another system. Lodgement and payment is handled seamlessly.

Payroll may be relatively simple, with unchanging default pay runs, or it may be highly involved, with many employees requiring individualised pay runs. Either way, it is important that payroll be accurate and that superannuation and PAYG withholding is regularly reviewed and reconciled. Whether you have simple or complex payroll needs, we will manage and process payroll to ensure integrity of the data and therefore accurate reporting.

With the introduction of Single Touch Payroll from July 2018, we recommend you consider having On The Money Bookkeeping fully administer your payroll; depend on us to look after this government reporting obligation.

Xero offers a mobile phone app for employees to use to access their own payroll information. This makes administration of payroll more efficient for both employees and employers. The phone app allows employees to check pay slips, update details and submit leave requests.
